What is beta-glucan?

The active ingredient thought to provide barley its health benefits is beta-glucan. Beta-glucan is a type of soluble fibre. It has been shown to reduce cholesterol levels and risk of heart disease.

Approved Nutrient Function Claim: Consume 3g of barley beta-glucan everyday helps to lower or reduce blood cholesterol
